Kathie Lee Gifford on Becoming a Grandma and Whether She Knows the Baby’s Gender
2 min readShe’s an actor, writer, singer, songwriter, beloved tv talent and a happy mom of two, and now Kathie Lee Gifford is about to increase a different part that prolonged list — grandmother.
The previous Nowadays co-host is celebrating the reality that her son, Cody Gifford, and his spouse, Erika, are anticipating their initially child in June, and she can not wait to see them get started spouse and children everyday living when the bundle of joy comes.
“You know what, I’m not fired up for me, weirdly,” Kathie Lee discussed in an interview with “ET.” “I’m so enthusiastic for my son and his wife, and for my daughter (Cassidy), who’s likely to be an aunt. I’m just sort of viewing it all.”
As for her very own thrill about it all, the 68-year-old is familiar with exactly when that will kick in.
“I’m going to get excited the working day that toddler is put into my arms,” she explained.
But will she be holding a grandson or a granddaughter when that day arrives? Kathie Lee exposed she has no thought about that — and it is not just a secret to her.
“I never know if it is a boy or a woman — they really don’t know and they really do not want to,” she continued. “They’re accomplishing it the aged-fashioned way.”
And frankly, she would not care if it can be a boy or lady anyway.
When Cody and Erika, who married in September 2020, announced the content news about their infant on the way again in December, grandma gave her consider on that in reaction to the couple’s Instagram article .
“I’m more than a blue or pink moon!!” she wrote. “I never give a rip which!!! So joyful for our family members!!”
